A Random Box Design

I was bored so I had to do something to keep myself busy ...

(just to let you know, if you are freaked out by the comments or not satisfied; they are all from all the different topics and experiences I have gathered in the box.)

A look at the box...

You can all see the work I put on it. Was fun :)

A small building-so-puzzle design.

A small version of red n black chess ground: always there since the beginning of time ... whatever

Interception formed.

The blue and white skin patters.

Eyes of the Guardian Devil :D

Different look.

Red and white skin pattern, target and the forehead of the one in charge.

Another face for the front cover: 3D tangled box.

Another view of the cover.

Hence the bulls eyes,

TyRuben Ellingson

March 2nd, 2011 ... TyRuben Ellingson visit to SCSU
Atwood Ballroom ... Art student to Avatar

A panoramic view to Ellingson's crowd

Cool Graphic Art.

Introduction to self.

A picture of his true inspiration, TyRUben's Father. He was an artist, an engraver, a printer and a self made man who believed in: 'you can make things happen'.

This is another picture of his father. It was a surprise and was noted to him on his birthday. Ruben encouraging the funny crowd to join Facebook for unexpected purposes, like how he was able to get a hold of his famous artist father.

2001: A Space Odyssey ... just something Ellingson always desired to work with. Just like a kid from the 60's and 70's, he was fascinated with the idea of FUTURE by 2000. Well, I too feel bad that I don't own my own star-ship cruiser :D

Another picture of Space Odyssey, which was of Ellingson's huge interest.

Some of his other cool designs.

A more focused design, I admire the details. I could actually show him my style :) (sorry about the picture quality).

Ruben noted how his growth and interest helped him grow up as a man, as a designer.
He was honest about how art, women, school all changed his life.
A picture of a woman to Ruben is more than just something to stick an eye to. He noted
inspiration is everywhere.

A picture of him when he was only 19. Still painting over the Space Odyssey pictures.

I am pretty sure, he said 'F' during this. He tried to refrain from cursing, but it's cool to say words like '!@#$%^&*()' when you are amongst students, young kids, senior citizens and the
faculty in attendance.

A little joke about how his friend was super excited to see Ruben trip and fall off. I spared no chance and laughed out loud too.

Ellingson worked on more than just a couple of movies. He designed characters, accessories and everything the story and the consumers demanded and expected. From an art work to, TV, big screens and movies.

For example, this gun is the gun used by Hell-Boy in his movies.

He gave a little more details about how things appear and how they function.

Here we go. Think Ellingson is my new best friend now.

A B/W picture off GOOGLE to show his design is a success.

Another movie he worked for. Blade: Trinity. This is a design for suit of armor for the Vampire king. Pretty chicky for a super-man vampire, I'd have given him a pink armor with yellow polka dots.

An example of what he does. A design of some 'god-knows what it does' gun.

Finally the avatar exo-suit.

He was talking about the proportion of humans to the Na'vi to the Bio-suit.

A 3-D deign of the suit.

The final form where he drew on the 3-D suit to make it look more functional. He noted that his 'team' had to brainstorm about the functioning of the suit in different environment and also the weather conditions.

Ellingson telling, make use of your contacts and no one but only 'you' care about your dream. So go make it happen and DO NOT SLACK OFF.

Another picture of the Bio-suit's bottom half.

Just for reference, picture of 'stuffs' used in the movie Avatar off GOOGLE.

Finally ending with panoramic view of the ballroom.
